  • Buy Jadon Sancho, buy Dias or Upamacano and Soumare or Saul and make Ighalo permanent… 4 signings that bolster the squad with real quality and depth and improve the starting xi.. keep Pogba, Smalling, Bailly and Gomes… Loan Gomes and Chong out.. get rid of Jones, Sanchez and Rojo..
These signings don't all have to be in this summer window alone.. you could do it as 2 in 2 out over the next 2 windows quite comfortably.. as for the number 7.. yes, ideally Sancho off the right wing will be that player.. but even he has to earn it.. at United the number 7 is no ordinary shirt to pull on.. even Beckham and Ronaldo had to earn it at United.. and it's only fair that so does Sancho.. give him a full season at United to get settled and show the world what he can do and then reward him with the number 7 shirt the season after..

  • Anyone else think that the N.07 should be earned by a player at the club rather than a new signing to avoid a Sanchez like situation.I understand that it’s very marketable and good to entice players but it ultimately hurts the reputation of the number.Realistically if after another season we gave the number to Marcus or Bruno I think that’d be a much better approach than just giving any big new signing the number even if they are as good as Sancho.Maybe even give Sancho the N.11 until he has earned the right to wear the number 7

  • Really like this idea of having a good relationship with a club like leibzig. This is just like what barca often does with ajax. We should send our youngsters to leibzig to get good first team experience in a team competing at the top level

  • Couldn't agree more on the saul thing. Would move heaven and earth to sign him as well. But I do think sancho might struggle at United. The reason being at Dortmund, hakimi loves to attack and is constantly making overlapping runs, which helps sancho a lot.

  • I love Herrera but personally think Saul is a “lot” better than Herrera. He is very very skillful.

I see him spear the Spain midfield for years.

  • Do you think we buy Sancho and keep pogba? Or do you think Sancho is being bought with the pogba money? Or potential pogba Money.

  • A smart board would activate the release clauses of Partey and Upamecano and then you’ve got two improvements to the spine of the team for under £100m. Add sancho and that’s a 200m window

  • No matter how much I like Pogba, I don't think he suits the team Ole is trying to build. Ole seems to be going for the introverted players who show humility and a gratitude that they are playing for United. When fame goes to your head it occupies too much of the brain. I, for one, won't be sorry to see Pogba going and replacing him with someone whose main focus is football and not the power that comes with money and fame.

  • If Pogba is staying then it would be Ndidi that would be my personal number 1 signing (assuming Sancho is pretty much done). Sancho and Ndidi would give us a title challenging side.

  • I must be one of the few people that actively wants Pogba to stay. When Pogba and Pique left that hurt my soul. Both pushed on exactly as expected. Get some of the players we are going for and Pogba will be elevated aswell.

  • My ideal transfer plan:

Sell: Pogba (£120m) De Gea (80m) Jones, Smalling, Lingard, Sanchez, Andreas (£50m for all five) (£250m money in)

Buy: Sancho (£100m) Koulibaly (£60m) Grealish (£50m) Saul Niguez (£90m) and bring back Dean Henderson in net (£300m spend)

That way, net spend is at £50m (what we usually net spend in a window).
Henderson is not as good as De Gea (yet) but better at distribution and with the ball at feet, which is essential in modern game. Plus with Koulibaly to further strengthen an already decent defence we'll concede much less anyway.

Pogba is one of the best in the world, but the circus is too much around him and Raiola. Fernandes is insane, and more consistent than Pogba. Then add a classy Saul Niguez to sit deeper and Grealish as very good no10 to the already decent players of Fred, Matic and McTominay and you have a great midfield with depth.
Then add Sancho to make it six top quality options up front.
In two seasons time, this is a team that could challenge for it all 🔥
